Those were very good quotes.

1. From Bandits..."Beavers and Ducks" I really don't remember why but at the time it was very funny.

2. From 3 Amigos..."Badges, we don't need no stinking badges" (This was a take off from the same line used in a Humphrey Bogart movie.)

I'm going to have to think on this, but there are definately movies that I quote. And I think I'm going to misquote a few of these as I don't remember them very well. I like several mentioned including "Beavers and ducks" and the Anchorman line.

Happy Gilmore: "Doing the bull dance, feeling the flow, working it."

It's a Wonderful Life (that's for you, Mom): "This is a very interesting situation." (You know, when Donna Reed is in the bushes with no clothes.)

Tommy Boy: "I know where you live and I've seen where you sleep and I swear by everything sacred and holy that your mothers will weep when they see what I've done to you."

While You Were Sleeping: "If you fit into my pants I'll kill myself."

Ghostbusters: "Dogs and cats living together, mass hysteria."

Meet the Parents: "I have nipples, can you milk me too?".

That's all. I only watch like seven movies and I don't quote them very often.
P.S. Napoleon Dynamite is not one of the seven movies I watch over and over.

Some Great Sports Quotes

"You're 5 foot nothin', 100 and nothin', and you have barely a speck of athletic ability. And you hung in there with the best college football players in the land for 2 years. And you're gonna walk outta here with a degree from the University of Notre Dame. In this life, you don't have to prove nothin' to nobody but yourself. And after what you've gone through, if you haven't done that by now, it ain't gonna never happen. Now go on back." Rudy

"Now I may be a mean cuss. But I'm the same mean cuss with everybody out there on that football field. The world don't give a damn about how sensitive these kids are, especially the young black kids. You ain't doin' these kids a favor by patronizing them. You crippling them; You crippling them for life."
Remember the Titans

"The Padres play the Mets every so often, though you folks would probably be Yankees fans. It's been my experience that most organized crime people are" My Blue Heaven

"Pete: You think if I cut my arm off they'd let me in the special Olympics? I really want to win a medal.
Auggie: Pete, I want you to go sit by the garbage and think about what you just said. That's messed up Pete!" Summer Catch

Lindsey Meeks: You don't see us tangled up in the sheets with the Eiffel Tower in the background. You see the Mariners are coming in, and Pedro's pitching Friday.
Ben: No, on Saturday. Schilling's Friday.

I am such an illiterate compared to this Hendrickson family, but there are two quotes I use in my work life:

1. From Cheers--
KELLY "oh Woody! You're so wonderful! Others gave us costly engagement gifts but you gave me the gift of a song you wrote. I was going to give you a Porsche, but you have taught me the joy of sincere giving from the heart instead of such material things."
WOODY "I didn't hear what you said after the word 'Porsche'".
2. From Lethal Weapon II after Mel Gibson cuts the red bomb wire and the timer starts going really fast. He looks up at Danny Glover and Glover says "What?!" Gibson simply says "Grab the cat!"

I find a way to work these into about 1 out of ten conversations.

Many great quotes here. Great work.

Dennis, I also like to work my quote from the 10 Commandments (Moses, Moses, you impetuous fool) in whenever I can. It is especially impressive during scriptural discussions. Many question if that really came from the Old Testament. Would Cecil B DeMille deceive us? I think not.

GeGe Denise said...

I do not believe that Cecil B DeMille would deceive us...I really believe that somewhere in the Old Testament are the words...Moses, Moses you impetuous fool.

I just thought of a couple:
"Creme brule can never be jello. You can never be jello."
"But I have to be jello."
"You're never gonna be jello."
--My Best Friend's Wedding

I referenced this one the other day from Star Wars, when Han Solo and Princess leia are in the garbage.
"What a lovely smell you've discovered, Princess."
