So now is the time to make comments because we really need some family feed back. So last night we looked at some cruises and realized that the ones out of Florida may be more fun, they however cost a pretty penny for a 5 day. Not to mention the airfare, with all that it would cost about $1000 per person. Now i dont know about the rest of you but we would have to give up christmas and birthdays for about 10 years for that to even out. So we are trying to come up with alternatives... but we need everyones help. Keep your eyes and ears open for ideas. We have seen a few all inclusive hotels in mexico. Another option is, and i have to say i love this, its actually very reasonable to rent a house in Hawaii. The benefit to that is it costs around $200/night which means we could each be in charge of paying for a night. We can also look into houses in other cities. These are just a few ideas... so lets hear your input and start lookin!!!

hmmmm. since hawaii is fresh on my mind I am a little obsessed with it. However, Mexico, I have heard, is quite an attractive place so i am gooood with either.
I don't have a strong preference. Are the thoughts a Mexican cruise or staying somewhere in Mexico? Hawaii might be an expensive flight from the East Coast is all that I am thinking, but maybe not. Maybe when we the exact dates we can go we can see what the best deals are for all places.
the thoughts are really open... Ashton and Becca and Stefany and Andy have all been on a Mexican cruise recently so they might now want to go again. or maybe they would??? but several of my friends have been on Mexican cruises and absolutely loved it so I'm game.lets just keep our thinking caps on!
Mom and I are happy with anything or place warm with our kids!

Staying at those resorts in Mexico might cause a problem for us. They are paranoid that white men will go get a Mexican prostitute and bring them back to the resort. See where I am going with this.
We are pretty open to anything, but I do agree that $1,000 a person might be more than we can handle.
They key is getting together (so starting a tradition during a recession might be difficult) so the beach or a cruise or a resort. Anything will work.
