Hi! On the Cruise I reserved 2 spots for "Swimming with the Dolphins". It is $149 each and I can cancel up to 5 days beofre. It is from 10 am to 2 PM at Nassau and not available at the "Great Stirrup Cay", the private island.
Mom for sure wants one. If any else wants a reservation let me know.
There actually was a more expensive option which allows one to grab onto the dorsel fin of the dolphin and have them swim around. I had to picture Mom doing this and had the feeling she might find that a little scary, so we didn't sign up for that part.
Let me know if anyone wants this experience.

Have I told you today how much I love you? Thanks for doing this...
i for sure want to, and i'm pretty sure becca does as well!! thanks for doing that
I for sure want to and am planning on swimming with the dolphins in Nassau. I will try to research other dolphin options in Nassau. We never did any of the activities that the cruise offered because it cost twice as much. They always have all of these vans just at the port you land where you can go for much cheaper, so that is what I would recommend.
On a separate note, I also read that in Nassau snorkeling and swimming with stingrays is an option. Paps and Ashton, I know you both mentioned snorkeling, and having done that one before, I definately recommend it.
Thanks Rachel....I honestly could snorkel the whole time and be happy and if it was with stingrays that would be better.
Let us know what you find. I can cancel up to 5 days before but should add ASAP as, I guess, the dolphin stuff goes pretty fast on cruises.
Isn't the stingray what killed Steve Irwin, AKA The Crocodile Hunter...Just asking.

I do not really have a desire to swim with dolphins. But they always sell out, but for everything else I would buy off the ship. I could be wrong on the dolphins and end up costing people more money.
So I looked into other dolphin options today. They are a little less expensive but if we want a guarantee it would probably be best to go with the cruise line.
Do we want to do that? Is it mom, Sarah, Becca, and me? That would mean 4 spots.
yes the sting ray did kill steve erwin but I think it's more dangerous to cross the street than swim with them normally. I thought it was way cool to swim with them and would recommend it.
Walking across the street in NYC is more dangerous than most things I would Imagine.
